Lead Legal Counsel, Corporate

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Legal Counsel, Corporate to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will provide strategic legal support across securities, corporate governance, and public company reporting for a global technology organization. The position will also advise senior stakeholders on complex entity matters, cross-border considerations, and strategic transactions that support the company's continued growth. In addition, this leader will help strengthen legal processes, resources, and training to improve efficiency and risk management across the legal function. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $168,000 – $285,600 annually Responsibilities Own securities and public company reporting, including SEC filings and earnings releases Advise on corporate governance and compliance requirements Provide legal guidance on complex entity matters across jurisdictions Support M&A and strategic transactions through diligence and documentation Manage outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal advice Identify legal risks and present options to senior stakeholders Build and improve legal resources and train team members Qualifications 6+ years of legal experience, particularly with US-listed public companies Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active US state bar admission Ability to manage complex legal matters independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience improving legal processes and resources Collaborative mindset for remote, global teamwork Helpful: in-house experience at public SaaS or software companies, M&A, and cross-border matters Benefits Health, financial, and well-being support Flexible Paid Time Off Team Member Resource Groups Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan Growth and Development Fund Parental leave Home office support Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
