Location: Onsite in Columbus, OH | Position Type: W2/Fulltime | Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required | Preference given to U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders, but all authorized-to-work candidates considered.

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI Solutions Architect to guide our team’s AI journey while continuing to lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise technology solutions. This person will identify practical AI use cases, encourage responsible AI adoption, and provide technical leadership across architecture, development, integration, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend practical AI use cases across development, testing, documentation, solution design, and delivery.
  • Guide teams on responsible AI adoption while considering security, governance, compliance, and data protection.
  • Design and implement scalable enterprise solutions aligned with architecture standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and act as a primary technical owner for projects and deliverables.
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support Agile delivery and collaborate with development, operations, and business teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Web Services, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, JSON, Fuse, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, and container-based applications.
  • Cloud experience, preferably GCP, including Cloud Run, Terraform, BigQuery, and Big Data services.
  • Strong SQL and database experience with Oracle, DB2, or MySQL, including queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, API testing, JWT, and REST API architecture.
  • Experience with Maven, data structures, algorithms, application troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower, IBM IIB/ACE, and IBM MQ/WebSphere is highly relevant.
  • Understanding of AI technologies and AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to identify practical applications and support adoption.
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience leading development teams and working directly with business and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban delivery environments.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader/architect who combines strong Java and enterprise integration expertise with cloud, DevOps, and emerging AI capabilities. They should be comfortable moving between architecture discussions, technical implementation, team leadership, and conversations with business stakeholders.
