About the Opportunity
The Lead IT Systems Engineer role is focused on modernizing and optimizing identity management, workflow automation, and the employee technology experience. This position leads efforts in identity and access management, workflow engineering, onboarding automation, and virtual desktop infrastructure to improve operational efficiency, security, and service quality. The role directly impacts how technology enhances employee productivity and organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage automated identity lifecycle processes across cloud and business applications
- Develop role-based access controls and enforce least-privilege access with periodic reviews
- Configure and optimize Jira and Jira Service Management workflows and automation
- Develop automated onboarding processes coordinating IT, HR, and hiring managers
- Engineer and support virtual desktop infrastructure including image design and application delivery
- Identify opportunities for IT process automation and system integration using APIs and scripting
- Support security and compliance initiatives related to identity governance and infrastructure
- Create operational dashboards, technical documentation, and performance reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions
Requirements
- Education or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Strong experience with identity and access management platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory
- Proficiency configuring Jira and Jira Service Management including automation and dashboards
- Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure platforms like Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Windows 365
- Skills in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and API integration
- Analytical problem-solving and project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration
- Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or benefits-related industries preferred
