About the Role
The Lead IT QA Analyst will lead quality assurance efforts across Agency Quoting and Vendor Quoting platforms, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. This role drives quality throughout the software development lifecycle by developing test strategies, identifying risks, executing testing, and managing defects. The analyst collaborates closely with business analysts, developers, product teams, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements and solutions are thoroughly validated.
Responsibilities
- Lead test planning and strategy for complex initiatives, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, and risk-based testing.
- Design and execute detailed test scenarios and test cases while validating business rules, rating calculations, quoting workflows, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect identification, documentation, prioritization, triage, resolution validation, regression impact analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with BSAs, developers, product teams, and business stakeholders throughout sprint planning, backlog refinement, UAT, release planning, and production readiness activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or supporting user acceptance testing.
- OR completion of a technical training program with a minimum of 6 years of related experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or supporting user acceptance testing.
- OR a minimum of 8 years of related experience analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or supporting user acceptance testing.
Skills
Required
- Strong experience developing test strategies, test plans, and risk-based testing approaches across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on expertise in test case design, manual and exploratory testing, defect management, UAT support, and production validation.
- Strong analytical skills, including quality metrics analysis, risk assessment, root-cause analysis, and identification of opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams; experience working with XML and leveraging AI tools such as Copilot, Codex, or Claude.
Preferred
- Experience with insurance quoting and rating systems, particularly personal lines, Agency Quoting, Vendor Quoting, and end-to-end quoting lifecycles.
- Knowledge of insurance products, policy and product dependencies, state-specific quoting considerations, vendor workflows, and industry standards such as ACORD.
- Experience with accessibility standards and testing tools, including WCAG, Axe, and Evinced.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (AzDO) and the ability to leverage AI tools to improve testing, analysis, documentation, and QA processes.
Pay
W2 pay rate.
