Lead - IT Applications

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Lead - IT Applications to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This role will guide application support and systems administration efforts across healthcare technology environments, with a strong focus on user experience and operational reliability. The position partners closely with stakeholders to resolve complex issues, improve workflows, and strengthen change control practices. The ideal candidate will also help lead project implementations and evaluate future technology impacts to support continuous improvement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor department personnel in healthcare IT systems administration
• Troubleshoot complex end-user issues and improve workflows for users and stakeholders
• Conduct technical and workflow root cause analysis and provide effective solutions
• Identify and implement enterprise workflow improvements while evaluating future technology impacts
• Facilitate and prepare recommendations and presentations for stakeholder review
• Lead complex project implementations and manage external workgroups effectively
• Ensure compliance with change control documentation and policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required
• Master's degree in one of the aforementioned fields preferred
• 5 years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or IT with an understanding of application software deployment required
• Leadership experience in a lead, supervisor, or manager role preferred
• Epic certification related to assigned applications preferred
