Lead Inventory Specialist - Pharmacy (Days)

About the role

A key member of the pharmacy department team, this position requires a wide array of interpersonal as well as organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Carefully coordinate all TMG clinic drug inventory inspections, ensuring optimal PARs and drug storage conditions.
• Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems to consistently train site-level Pharmacy Inventory Specialists, vet pharmacy vendors, and optimize system drug spend and vendor portfolio.
• Maintain a broad understanding of the 340B Drug Pricing Program and its impact on Tanner Health, and maintain appropriate membership on various committees throughout Tanner Health.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Eight years of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures
• Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Will accept an Associates and six years experience or a Bachelor's and four years experience. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). CPhT-Advanced preferred. Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia, state of Alabama as well (preferred).
