About the Role

This position leads inventory logistics activities, providing training, guidance, and direction to assigned employees to achieve company goals in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner. The role acts as a backup for the Inventory Logistics Supervisor and ensures smooth coordination of materials to support production operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as backup for the Inventory Logistics Supervisor as needed
- Verify quantity and quality of purchased items upon receipt per Sabre’s receiving SOP
- Coordinate material needs with production to support smooth operations
- Maintain positive, cooperative, and professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and production personnel
- Ensure paperwork is completed and submitted to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Manage the physical locations of all purchased plate and parts, and track them in Epicor
- Coordinate with the cycle counter to ensure accuracy on cycle counts; assist in the annual year-end audit
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks
- Ensure area and equipment are properly maintained according to Sabre safety guidelines
- Operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and Mi-Jack
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Regular and timely attendance
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated capabilities in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Experience operating an all-terrain forklift of 15,000# or more and ability to pass Sabre forklift certification
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
- Previous leadership experience is desirable
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform physical activities requiring use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling materials
- Work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends
- Manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded approach
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
- Concentrate on tasks for long periods and observe information from all relevant sources
