Responsibilities
- Serves as Lead Engineer on project work for clients and is responsible for gathering and analyzing technical data used to furnish a design package of instruments.
- Generating instrument lists, I/O lists, specifications, procurement submittals, operation & maintenance documents, training, and related design documents.
- Specifying, procuring, and calibrating instruments (i.e. flow, level, temperature, analytical, pressure, etc.).
- Perform as lead instrumentation engineer interfacing with customers.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers, and clients.
- Perform basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systems as they relate to instrumentation.
- Direct and check the work of designers and engineers ensuring all standards are met.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in related engineering field (preferable electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering).
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with specifying, procuring, and calibrating instruments.
- Knowledge of all facets of process instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC programs and operator interface software.
- Experience with P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, panel layout and detail drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with Autodesk CAD software.
- Five plus (5+) years of experience.
- PLC configuration knowledge is a plus.
