Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 learners covering subjects like public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established framework.
  • Conduct daily engagement sessions to ensure 100% of learners achieve their weekly app targets through age-appropriate motivators including school currency and performance tracking.
  • Develop Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical coaching so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy.
  • Analyze Coachbot metrics and learner data to pinpoint students requiring support, then provide direct intervention.
  • Personally mentor your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and engagement techniques you require from all Guides.

Basic Requirements

  • Currently located in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred; conventional teaching certifications are not required)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training systems
  • Proven history of managing a team of 5+ individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based dismissal decisions
  • Direct experience working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts
  • Strong capability in leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's) in Education, Psychology, or Business
  • Experience as a sports coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly inspired children to achieve quantifiable goals
  • Track record coaching adults in environments where performance was measured and evaluated
  • Natural ability to engage large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention from a room full of 8-year-olds

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Create lesson plans or develop curriculum. Academic content is delivered via adaptive applications; your focus is elevating the people who support students.
  • Deliver traditional lectures to a classroom. You're primarily a facilitator and motivator; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't the right match.
  • Compromise standards due to external pressure from families or leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll have institutional support to maintain that boundary.
  • Spend time in an office managing administrative tasks. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
  • Wait extended periods for performance assessment. Data is accessible in real-time through Coachbot, and adjustments are made immediately.
