Responsibilities

  • Enter and manage installation opportunities in CRM to develop accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Conduct site installation surveys to collect necessary information for install feasibility and planning in CRM.
  • Produce scope of works and customer-facing installation quotes in CRM.
  • Work with dispatchers and other branch personnel to schedule installs in Microsoft Field Service, adhering to customer promise dates.
  • Execute installations per the scope of work to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to safety manuals and programs.
  • Strong adherence to the installation playbook from start to finish (machine at customer site to leaving after successful startup).
  • Effectively manage the installation request inbox.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills by managing schedule and completion dates in CRM, relaying information to customers and branch leadership.
  • Update final pricing in CRM opportunities to support branch and organizational financial objectives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the organization, industry, and equipment.
  • Communicate Hobart Service’s value propositions for future service products after warranty expiration.
  • Perform proper vehicle maintenance and handle installation material handling equipment.
  • Adhere to the company’s safe driving policy and other applicable safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of formal technical training and at least ten years of related experience.
  • Equipment installation or similar experience.
  • PC knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of installation experience in commercial equipment.
  • Mechanical or electrical experience (preferred but not required).
  • Associate degree (preferred but not required).
  • Experience installing and removing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment (highly desirable).
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Industry certification (highly desirable, position/location dependent).

Skills

Understanding of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, measurement conversions). Ability to compile and summarize data for supervisors or branch managers.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance; climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder; occasional roof access via extension or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet; extensive walking (3-5 miles/day); extensive driving (5-6 hours/day); kneel, squat, bend, push/pull; work in tight and confined spaces; operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment (e.g., forklift); operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Work Environment: Office facilities and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens); exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, or dirty conditions may occur; travel requirement up to 50% of the time.
  • Hours of Work: Normal business hours with occasional, frequent, or extended hours as needed; flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines; early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends; extended hours may include nights and/or weekends.

Pay

The pay rate for this position ranges from $40.00 to $54.20 USD per hour, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
