Job Responsibilities
- Understand and support the education program using the “learning through play” philosophy.
- Keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times.
- Change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents.
- Multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team.
- Handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification preferred or a desire to obtain CDA with financial assistance offered through the Keystone STARS benefits.
- Experience working with children.
