Lead HVAC Maintenance Tech

About the role

We are seeking a polished, engaging and professional Maintenance Lead Tech with strong knowledge in HVAC repair and replacement for one of our apartment communities in Melbourne, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic company with a promote-from-within culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendors where applicable; work independently to complete assigned jobs and tasks; be self-starting
• Ensure work orders are completed within expected time frame based on priority; complete all make-readies in a timely manner
• Coordinate with Community Manager/Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
• Perform electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools
• Perform plumbing maintenance including replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, adding new lines, etc.
• Perform painting, carpentry and masonry work including preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes; hanging doors; fitting locks and handles; etc.
• Maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems; diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns
• Work flexible hours including after hours, holidays, and weekends when assigned
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Complete other tasks as directed and assigned

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in HVAC repair and replacement
• HVAC certified
• Skilled advanced trade experiences
