Lead Human Service Tech

About the role

Sterling Personnel is looking to hire a full-time Lead Human Service Specialist. In this role you would be responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations of day habilitation services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures effective scheduling of services, staff coverage, and transportation routes while providing direct support and supervision to individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily operations of day habilitation services
• Ensure effective scheduling of services, staff coverage, and transportation routes
• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals served
• Schedule day services and coordinate daily coverage of van routes
• Supervise teaching and assisting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise daily activities including money management, cooking, safety, nutrition, and social skills
• Complete Medicaid billing logs and progress notes
• Maintain daily service logs
• Purchase program supplies
• Provide community support activities
• Monitor maintenance of center vehicles
• Provide periodic assistance with medical appointments and community activities

Qualifications

• Experience assisting persons with intellectual disabilities
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or GED, plus 3 years' experience in positions related to the duties of this position
• Current and valid Texas Class C license
• Good driving record
• Proof of liability insurance
• Ability to type 30 WPM
• Supervisory experience
• Work history demonstrates ability to work under minimal supervision
• Stable work record demonstrated by longevity with previous employer (2 years or longer)
• Ability to utilize computer-based data for documentation

Preferred skills

• Experience with Medicaid waiver programs
• Ability to type 50 WPM
