Lead Housekeeping Worker

About the role

To attend to housekeeping needs that are both routine and non-routine in nature in order to achieve a prescribed level of sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of all assigned residence halls and act as a liaison between upper level management and housekeeping workers.

Responsibilities

• Assume supervisors duties in their absence and assists housekeeping supervisor by leading and directing housekeeping workers in the performance of their duties.
• Considerable experience of cleaning methods, techniques, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge and experience with safety practices related to work.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and lead the work of others, ability to make independent decisions and judgments in absence of the supervisor.
• Capable of developing a good working relationship with workers, students, and professional staff.
• Ability to follow and explain both written and oral instructions.

Requirements

• High School graduation or equivalent.

Pay Band 1
Overtime Status: Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
Appointment Type: Regular
Salary Information: Salary $34,944/year, minimum pay position
Hours per week: 40

Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm and as needed for good customer service.
