Lead Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• C Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, and bobcats, as well as company vehicles.
• B Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• C Handle complex and major repairs independently.
• D Utilize middle to advanced-level welding skills for various types of welding as needed.
• E Respond to field service calls with a focus on delivering high-quality, timely repairs.
• F Conduct on-site repairs at job locations to minimize downtime.
• G Maintain clear and consistent communication with managers regarding repair progress and parts inventory needs.
• H Work effectively within a team, demonstrating a willingness to learn and train others.
• I Build and maintain positive working relationships.

Qualifications

• A Skilled at large tractor truck diesels, including, CAT and CUMMINS engines, Large Diesel Peterbilt and MACK engines.
• B Skilled with Transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel systems, drivelines, differentials, hubs, and all other components of equipment including, pavers, millers, rollers, bobcats, skid steer equipment.
• C Experienced working on Bobcats / skid steer equipment.
• D Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure proper functioning and safe operation.

• G Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment.
• H Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• I Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
• J Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• K Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• L Frequently Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• M Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• N Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• O Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• P Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Q Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• R Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• S Occasionally Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
