Lead, Growth Marketing
About the role
As a Lead, Growth Marketing, you'll set the strategic direction and quality bar for experimentation across the Self-Serve developer journey with a heavy emphasis on monetization and engagement motions. You have deep expertise in product-led growth, and you know how to turn that expertise into a prioritized roadmap while leading a team that levels up under your coaching. You're obsessed with customer success and you hold the team's work to that same bar. You bring a strong point of view on the customer journey and you're comfortable with ambiguity. You've done the IC work yourself, including dynamic segmentation and personalized messaging across email, in-product, and web for B2B SaaS/developer audiences, and now you want to multiply that impact through strategy, prioritization, and people. This is a highly visible role.
You'll act as a change agent across Product, Analytics, Data Science, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations, and you'll be the person stakeholders come to for a clear read on what's working, what's next, and why. This role can be based anywhere on the East Coast of the United States.
Responsibilities
- Own the growth marketing strategy and roadmap, deciding what the team prioritizes and why, based on customer journey analysis and business impact
- Build and manage the experiment pipeline: intake, prioritization, velocity, and a consistent framework for evaluating and scaling wins
- Set and enforce the quality bar for campaigns, messaging, and experimentation rigor across the team
- Coach and develop growth marketers, leveling up their strategic thinking, execution, and craft; player-coach mentality
- Serve as the primary stakeholder manager of your area for Product, Analytics, Data Science, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations, aligning on roadmap moments and cross-functional dependencies
- Partner with Product leadership to shape the digital experience strategy for converting, retaining, and growing existing users
- Review and unblock team members' campaigns and experiments, providing hands-on feedback rather than just sign-off
- Monitor team-wide KPIs and translate performance into a clear narrative for leadership: identifying quality markers, what's driving growth, what's not, and what we're doing about it
- Identify emerging channels and PLG (and agent-led growth) opportunities worth the team's investment
- Represent growth marketing in planning and prioritization conversations with senior stakeholders
Requirements
- 6+ years of B2B SaaS experience in lifecycle and growth marketing
- Product-led growth experience desired (bonus points for experience/understanding with agent-led growth!)
- A track record of managing an experiment pipeline or portfolio of programs, not just running individual campaigns
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing marketers, formally or as a team lead
- Deep understanding of marketing to developers or a highly technical audience
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable driving alignment across Product, Analytics, Data Science, Customer Success, and Dev Rel at multiple levels of seniority
- A sharp sense of prioritization; you can tell the difference between a good idea and the right idea for right now
- A high quality bar and the ability to hold others to it constructively
- Strong data instincts; you set the standard for measuring impact and won't let the team ship without a way to know if it worked
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving, high-visibility function
- Natural leadership presence; you're a change agent people want to follow
