About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/ Cylinder Gas Lead for our Austin location. Applicant must have direct experience with cylinder gases and Air Products gas cabinets.
Major Areas Of Accountability
- Manage day-to-day operations and training of the cylinder gas team
- Interface with customers for maintenance and repairs
- Cook up orders and deliveries with suppliers and procurement
- Maintain cylinder gas inventory and prepare reports as needed
- Oversee bulk gas delivery and offloading
- Conduct safety and quality inspections of all incoming cylinders and manage paperwork
- Maintain and monitor gas systems
- Prepare weekly reports
- Prepare maintenance, SOPs, and work orders
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures
- Initiate and drive continuous improvements
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 10 years of manufacturing or operations experience
- 3-5 years of experience with cylinder gases and Air Products gas cabinets
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in a related technical discipline
- Skills: Mechanically inclined, ability to troubleshoot system equipment, good communication, attentive to detail, collaborative, organized, SOP and work instruction knowledge
Physical Requirements
- Lifting 50 lbs.
- Bending and reaching
- Climbing ladders
- Walking throughout shift
