Lead Full Stack Developer
SGA is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer for a contract assignment with a premier regulatory client in the DMV area. This role combines deep hands-on development with technical leadership, driving design decisions, leading delivery of complex features, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers while maintaining high standards of code quality and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy production-grade applications using object-oriented programming principles and database technologies.
- Lead technical delivery for teams of 3-6 engineers.
- Build enterprise-level solutions within Agile frameworks, including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery forecasting.
- Implement industry-standard development practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards for the team.
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end tests using Playwright with TypeScript, along with integration and performance testing.
- Define testing strategies and ensure team-wide adoption of quality practices.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures leveraging AWS services (SQS/SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, ECS).
- Make infrastructure decisions for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Angular 18 or later, RxJS, Ngx Formly, and monorepo architecture.
- Ability to design component architectures and establish reusable patterns for the team.
