About the Role

As the Lead Fulfillment Technician, you will oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy fulfillment team. This role involves managing a team of pharmacy technicians, providing hands-on leadership through training, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure adherence to operational standards. You will support the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription and non-prescription medications while fostering a culture centered on quality, safety, and efficiency. A key aspect includes working directly with pharmacy automation equipment to streamline operations. You will also collaborate with pharmacy leadership to identify and implement workflow enhancements and ensure compliance readiness for inspections. This position is essential to the success of our fulfillment operation and delivering a seamless experience for our patients.

This role is based in Boynton Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians by providing hands-on coaching, real-time feedback, and performance support to foster a high-performing team culture
  • Oversee technician onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development to ensure compliance with SOPs and operational excellence
  • Support scheduling and staffing needs to ensure appropriate shift coverage and workflow continuity
  • Ensure pharmacy fulfillment workflows—including picking, packing, and shipping—are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established timelines
  • Act as the primary point of contact for daily operational issues on the floor, escalating concerns to pharmacy leadership as appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists and cross-functional teams including operations, care, and product to resolve order and shipping issues promptly
  • Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment, ensuring it functions properly to support order volume
  • Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the fulfillment process, and drive adherence to all applicable standards and procedures
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in workflow evaluations and helping implement operational enhancements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workspace aligned with company policies and regulatory expectations
  • Flexibly support fulfillment operations by assisting with order processing and technician duties as needed to meet volume demands
  • Support additional operational tasks and responsibilities as assigned by pharmacy leadership

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support a team in a fast-paced fulfillment environment
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism in interactions with both patients and team members
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, especially when navigating high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and compliance
  • Comfort working with pharmacy automation equipment and technology-driven workflows
  • A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset and the ability to contribute to cross-functional problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative spirit that thrives in cross-functional environments

Schedule

  • Full-time role on our Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:00pm shift
  • Flexibility is required, as scheduled workdays may occasionally shift to cover holidays, team PTO, or other staffing needs
  • Advanced notice of at least two weeks will be provided for any changes to the regular schedule
  • Shift structures may be adjusted in the future based on evolving business needs
