Lead Food Service Worker (Cook)

Hourly rate: $20.34 per hour plus $1.10 differential.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the preparation of food on a large scale
• Preference given to individuals with supervisory experience

Responsibilities

The work involves responsibility for the preparation of food on a moderate to large scale. In the absence of higher level staff, the Cook directs the work of subordinate kitchen personnel, such as Assistant Cooks and Food Service Helpers, in the preparation and service of meals and other kitchen work. Menu planning is carried out by a higher level cook or supervisor in charge of food service.

Supervision is received from a Head Cook or other superior. The incumbent does related work as required.
