Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Food Service Supervisor to join our team at the Onondaga County Justice Center. This position offers a BONUS of up to $1,250!

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities

  • Independently prepares, assists, or instructs inmate labor/team members in the preparation of a variety of food items in accordance with departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and Institution work instructions.
  • Handles production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork essential to be in compliance with facility procedures.
  • Ensures the cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas is completed; confirms proper safety and sanitation practices are being followed.
  • Fulfills supervisory duties related to inmate labor.
  • Prepares food for large groups in high-volume food production facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • A High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • One year or more of experience working in a food service role.
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
