Lead Fireproofing Applicator

About the role

Kaloutas is seeking an experienced Lead Fireproofing Applicator to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead fireproofing crews on major commercial and industrial projects throughout New England, and to contribute to the development of future applicators.

Responsibilities

• Lead fireproofing crews on commercial and industrial job sites
• Apply spray-applied fire-resistive materials accurately and efficiently
• Set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot fireproofing equipment
• Read project plans, specifications, and product requirements
• Plan daily work and communicate expectations to the crew
• Maintain production, material usage, quality, and job progress
• Ensure proper surface preparation, application thickness, and finished quality
• Train and mentor less-experienced applicators
• Cookordination with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete required job-site and safety documentation
• Represent Kaloutas professionally with customers and project partners

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial fireproofing experience
• Strong knowledge of spray-applied fireproofing materials, equipment, and application methods
• Previous crew leadership or foreman experience
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and job-site requirements
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to job-site safety and accountability
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout New England as needed
