Lead Fireproofing Applicator
About the role
This is an opportunity for a seasoned fireproofing professional to take ownership in the field, work on major commercial and industrial projects throughout New England, and help develop the next generation of applicators. Responsibilities
Leading fireproofing application work on-site
Operating fireproofing equipment, paint pumps, and mixers, including Graco, Titan, Hy-Flex, Putzmeister, Cool, and similar equipment
Spraying beams, decks, and structural columns to the required thickness while maximizing efficiency and minimizing overspray and material waste
Setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining pumps, mixers, hoses, and other trade-related equipment
Recording daily cup weights to ensure maximum yield and proper material adhesion
Reading blueprints and monitoring application quality and thickness
Working safely from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
Following OSHA requirements and all company safety procedures
Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
Mentoring crew members and setting the standard for quality, productivity, and safety
Requirements
At least 7 years of fireproofing experience
Strong experience with spray-applied fireproofing materials (SFRM)
The ability to read blueprints and consistently achieve required thickness
Experience operating and troubleshooting fireproofing equipment
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an OSHA card
A positive attitude and genuine pride in your craft
Willingness to travel to job sites throughout New England as needed
