Lead Fireplace Installer

About the role

Comfort Solutions is looking for an experienced Lead Fireplace Installer to oversee residential fireplace installations while setting the standard for safety, craftsmhip, and customer service. This role is ideal for a skilled installer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring team members, solving challenges in the field, and delivering an exceptional experience for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential fireplace installation projects from start to finish
• Install gas, electric, and wood-burning fireplaces
• Install venting, chimney, and gas systems according to code and manufacturer specifications
• Mentor and train apprentice and junior installers
• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
• Perform system startup, testing, and final inspections
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Complete job documentation accurately and on time
• Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

• 3+ years of fireplace installation experience preferred
• Proven leadership or crew lead experience
• Strong knowledge of gas fireplaces, venting systems, and installation best practices
• Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, and job specifications
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in various environments
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
