About the role
The Role Lead Statutory and GAAP accounting and reporting for fixed income, including bonds and mortgage loans.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance with standards, filing requirements, and state insurance regulations.
- Execute internal controls over financial reporting to support risk mitigation efforts.
- Mentor team members and provide guidance on financial reporting practices and process improvements.
- Lead process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and documenting enhanced workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in fixed income securities, fixed income accounting, and investment reporting.
- Hands-on experience with the NAIC Accounting Practices and Procedures manual and investment accounting.
