Responsibilities
- Lead Statutory and GAAP accounting and reporting for fixed income, including bonds and mortgage loans
- Ensure regulatory compliance with standards, filing requirements, and state insurance regulations
- Execute internal controls over financial reporting to support risk mitigation efforts
- Mentor team members and provide guidance on financial reporting practices and process improvements
- Lead process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and documenting enhanced workflows
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in fixed income securities, fixed income accounting, and investment reporting
- Hands-on experience with the NAIC Accounting Practices and Procedures manual and investment accounting
