About the role

Ameritas is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to own complex GAAP and statutory reporting for our insurance and financial products. In this key role, you'll prepare and analyze financial statements, lead variance and trend analysis, and ensure strong controls and compliance. You'll partner with actuarial, investments, and leadership to deliver clear insights, support audits, and drive reporting automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze GAAP and statutory financial statements for insurance and financial products.
• Lead variance and trend analysis to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with actuarial, investments, and leadership teams to support financial reporting and decision-making.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Drive automation and process improvements in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and trend reporting.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
