Lead Financial Analyst - Private Credit Operations

This role works directly with the Investment Operations team and other stakeholders to account for and report on private debt and private equity investments, including Asset Backed Finance, Middle Market Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit, Infrastructure Credit, and Real Estate Credit. The Lead Financial Analyst partners with leadership, operations, and internal analysts to drive accountability, improve transparency, and provide timely insights into investment performance.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison with the CIO office to understand current and future allocations, support asset transfer coordination, interpret cash flow data, and proactively address questions and concerns.
  • Ensure Investment Reporting due diligence is completed for new fund managers and requirements are fully understood.
  • Collaborate with the CAS team to ensure Clearwater reporting supports cash reallocation, address questions, and move cash timely between legal entities.
  • Monitor cash inflows and outflows with the Daily Operations Team, validate accounting quality for income accruals, income received, and amortization between Clearwater LPx and Clearwater Core.
  • Support asset transfers between product lines and ensure income remains consistent on old vs. new product lines.
  • Independently oversee and explain the quality and changes in earned income.
  • Extract financial and attribute data from the core accounting system to troubleshoot cash payment discrepancies by working directly with vendors or fund managers.
  • Ensure reporting consistency and accuracy across all business and regulatory functions.
  • Partner with operations leaders and vendors to identify system functionality improvements.
  • Lead the transition of existing assets (CMLs, Bank Loans, Limited Partnerships) from Clearwater Core to LPx or MLx as applicable.
  • Complete STAT regulatory schedules, footnotes, and general interrogatories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in an investment operations capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of private credit fund concepts across strategies, including corporate direct lending.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of general finance, process documentation, and cross-functional operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while driving projects to completion.

Schedule

  • Hybrid office environment: in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Occasional travel required.

Pay

Salary range: $97,000 – $129,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, geography, work location, and operational needs. Eligible for an annual bonus at the company’s discretion.
