Lead Financial Analyst

About the role

The Medica Financial Analyst IV plays a crucial role in supporting the Individual Family Business (IFB) and Commercial segment finance teams. This position involves maintaining and updating financial models and reporting analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, summaries, and presentations materials for leadership reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial analysis and support decision-making.
• Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years of related experience within data analysis, financial reporting, financial analysis, and/or forecasting experience required beyond degree.
• Expert or advanced MS Excel skill and PowerPoint experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of the health insurance industry, operations, and key expense drivers.
• Knowledge and experience with GAAP and statutory accounting.
• Experience presenting and preparing materials for leadership in a clear and concise manner.
• Adaptability and fast learning ability.
• Solution-oriented project management skills.
• TM1 and/or SQL experiences desired.

Pay

The typical hiring+ salary range for this role is expected to be between $88,800 - $133,245. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.

Schedule

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.
