About the Role
Legato Financial Group (LFG) is a full-service financial firm specializing in assisting clients in or near retirement. Our team is comprised of advisors, marketers, and client relation specialists who thrive on success and are rewarded for hard work. We are looking for an experienced Lead Advisor to complement our close-knit team, interact with a regional client base, and build strategies to address retirement planning issues such as market risk, excessive fees, and inadequate advice.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary onboarding conduit for new clients, building financial strategies to help them achieve their goals.
- Speak to groups of prospective clients at retirement planning courses, dinner events, and other company events (approximately four evenings per month).
- Assess client assets, goals, risk tolerance, and retirement plans to determine if improvements are needed.
- Review existing Annuity, Life, Long Term Care, and/or Disability insurance policies to ensure they meet client needs.
- Build strategies and offer fiduciary advice on investments and insurance products.
- Interact professionally with clients by phone and/or in person to update their profiles and financial situations.
- Complete meeting follow-ups and maintain CRM updates.
- Meet production targets that impact overall company revenue goals.
- Prepare client reports and review summaries for strategy implementation.
- Support the operations team by ensuring they have all necessary information to fulfill their responsibilities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Series 65 or 7/66 with Life & Health Licenses.
- 2-7 years in financial services offering investment management and insurance services.
- Experienced and dynamic public speaker.
- Strong experience with MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in person and via phone.
- Proactive mentality, positive attitude, and consistent follow-through.
- Highly intelligent with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with good time management and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Salesforce CRM software.
- 2+ years working in a fast-paced office environment.
Schedule
40 hours per week, 8am-5pm with some flexibility due to client appointments and evening events.
Pay
Primarily commission-based with the opportunity for a negotiated salary draw for a predetermined period.
