Lead Field Service Technician

As a Lead Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will take a hands-on role in leading field service activities, ensuring the timely and effective maintenance and repair of our products at customer sites. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to junior technicians while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and work out of our Milwaukee, WI location on an on-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support, contributing to operational excellence and the overall success of Honeywell’s field service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform complex field service tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of Honeywell products and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field service technicians to enhance team performance and skills.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards during all field service activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
  • Document service activities accurately and report on service performance metrics.

Requirements

You must have:

  • Completion of the NICET 1 and NICET 2 Certification.
  • 6 years of programming experience utilizing Verifier or similar software.
  • 6 years of experience in field service or technical support roles.
  • 6 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
  • 6 years of experience utilizing diagnostic tools and service management software to support field operations.
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a field environment, ensuring high standards of service and safety compliance.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field.
  • Experience working in industrial automation or building technologies field service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a field environment, ensuring high standards of service and safety compliance.
