About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Representative. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Responsibilities
- Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies;
- Identify and present additional sales opportunities to customers;
- Provide 24/7 on-call availability in field service engineering and technical support for electrical power distribution equipment;
- Proficient in power distribution, troubleshooting, test equipment operation, communication, policies, software, parts knowledge, and safety precautions;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, service shops, and other organizations;
- Possess knowledge of UL, NEMA, and NEC standards;
- Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties;
- Manage multiple projects independently;
- Mentor less experienced technicians;
- Lead the leads program with bonus pay.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or higher with a minimum of 5 years of field service in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 9 or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems;
- No relocation offered, only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Salt Lake City, UT will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and/or military experience;
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution;
- Electrical or General Contractor’s License;
- Professional Engineering License;
- Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis as well as protective relays;
- NICET/NETA certification.
Skills
- Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policy;
- Ability to work variable hours, including nights & weekends, and travel within the district/state/region/country based on customer requirements;
