Lead Field Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Field Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering Team. This role is part of a team that takes the lead on project activities, both internally and externally, during the field erection/commissioning period.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Field PE Manager and provide customer/erector technical support from delivery through end of Warranty Period.
• Resolve technical and logistical field issues with customer's erection contractor and suppliers.
• Maintain customer relationships through quality support while minimizing costs and risks to Nooter/Eriksen.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an engineering/technical role or project execution role in a related field, including on-site construction/erection experience.
• General knowledge of applicable boiler and steel construction codes (ASME/ASTM/AISC/Etc.).
• Proficient critical thinking skills - strong ability to discern technical queries and act accordingly; understand cost & schedule impacts and act accordingly.
• Strong ability to lead and coordinate with internal/subcontract/detail resources for urgent support.
• Experience as technical lead and point of contact for customer/erector and supply base.
• BS Degree in Engineering, or suitable 4-yr degree.
• SQL/VBA database training/experience preferred.
• Strong ability to multi-task proficiently and properly maintain priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Domestic and international travel up to 20% required for this role.

The pay for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.
