Lead Extra (Wet End)-Night Shift

Shift- Monday- Wednesday 5pm-5am (nights) Purpose The Wet End Lead Extra functions as the backup for the Wet End Group Lead, assist in startups and shutdowns, and fills in as needed for all Wet End positions, including Resin Mixer. Qualifications Internal certification in the operation of the Polymerization RoomInternal certification in safe use of forkliftsInternal certification in safe use of overhead cranesInternal certification in use of trash compactorAbility to use utility knife and common hand tools safelyAbility to use scales for measuring in pounds and gramsAbility to read tape measure with decimal and fraction scaleAble to use line equipment controlCapable of computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and KBMAbility to work safely around chemicals, fiberglass, catalyzed resin, and solventsAble to use basic math skillsGood time management skillsAbility to perform mix formulation calculations to determine component quantities for various amounts of mix and to determine mix quantity requirementsUnderstand RCRA and hazardous waste regulationsCertified as a Wet End Operator, Wet End Utility Operator, and Resin Mixer Primary Functions General housekeeping of work area including the Raw Material Warehouse, the production lines, and the Polymerization RoomAssist the Group Lead in setting up the lines in accordance with historical settings; adjust these settings as needed to optimize run efficienciesAssist the Group Lead in troubleshooting upset conditions with the help of the maintenance, technical, or production teamsAssist the Group Lead in ensuring all Wet End personnel are able to adequately perform their job duties. Contact the Production Supervisor for any barriers preventing efficient job performanceAssist the Group Lead in training all new Wet End personnelStand in for the Wet End Group Lead when they are absentFill in for all other Wet End positions as needed to cover absences and breaksAssist in performing all startups, shutdowns, and changeovers efficientlySet up the production lines for the next scheduled production run
