About the role
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products professionally. They manage and maintain event execution equipment, communicate with store management during absence of Supervisor, assist other Event Specialists, provide leadership, and assist Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies to ensure cleanliness and secure placement in the agreed-upon area of the backroom.
- Communicate with store management regarding upcoming events and past event execution when Supervisor is absent.
- Act as the point person for all events conducted in the store when Supervisor is absent.
- Aid in event kit, material, and tool distribution as needed.
- Provide leadership and knowledge to the team, assisting Supervisor in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Possess the ability to gain adequate knowledge of products represented and proactively engage, interact, and sell products to consumers.
- Assist in preparing and serving food samples, including raw meats, produce, and eggs, while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and set up the Event Table for execution.
- Complete all assigned tasks, assist with client visits, and submit required reports.
- Take digital photos of the Perfect Table Setup to document successes for clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including navigation on a personal computer and personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
- Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handlers permit if required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (including use of a 6' ladder), balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
- Prepare foods using raw products (e.g., meats, poultry), using cooking utensils such as knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves.
- Be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Point of contact when Supervisor is absent.
Working Conditions
- Retail store environment with limited travel.

- Ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming.
Language Skills
- English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
