Lead Estimator

JSG is recruiting a Lead Estimator for our client in Houston, TX.

We are searching for a dynamic Lead Estimator to take charge of cost estimation across all project phases, from inception to completion. Responsibilities

• Develop estimates across all project phases
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape project budgets
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and lead large-scale estimates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or a related field, OR 15+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in an estimating environment
• Proficiency with estimating systems such as Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) or similar
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with industry best practices, stage-gated project processes, and EPC scopes
• Willingness to support travel as needed

Qualifications

• Certification with AACE, PMI, or CMAA is preferred (and advantageous)
• Experience in energy, power grid, or utilities sectors (nice to have)
• Skills in quantitative risk analysis and cost management software (nice to have)
• Knowledge of BIM and digital estimating tools (nice to have)

$85/hour to $95/hour depending on experience
