About the Role

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in all facets of equipment maintenance. Maintenance team leadership experience supporting sustainable production as well as new models and/or new equipment introductions is essential. This person must be able to build upon previous successes and take their Maintenance team to the next level. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect safety, quality, production efficiency, and equipment maintenance.

The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hourly Maintenance Technicians in a hands-on working lead role
  • Workforce management: day-to-day line support; in-house equipment maintenance and repair work; vacation scheduling; overtime and weekend work scheduling
  • Standard development and creation of work procedures and methods
  • Project management: both internal maintenance projects and minor contractor projects
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation of all necessary procedures, periodic maintenance tasks, and equipment changes (electrical, spare parts upgrades, mechanical, etc.)
  • Assist with budget development and reporting
  • Training and directing the training of Junior Maintenance Associates

Requirements

  • 5+ years of extensive experience with troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance, including breakdowns and failures
  • Robotic, hydraulics, and controls skills
  • Must have expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional skills
  • Maintenance team leadership experience
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Proficient in downtime reports and daily pass-down reports
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install parts
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures
  • Ability to identify issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and arm protection, and adhere to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Pay

Expected compensation: $44.45 - $66.78/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
