Responsibilities
- Assists the EVS Shift Supervisor with supervising and planning the work activities of custodial personnel on an assigned shift
- Performs the duties of the EVS Supervisor in their absence
- Assigns EVS Attendants their assigned areas and duties
- Inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
- Issue supplies and equipment to custodial workers
- Contributes and assists in the evaluation of employee performance reviews
- Accountable for follow through with department, walk through, special cleaning projects and the maintaining of department cleanliness standards
- Ensures that keys, pans and brooms, and equipment are checked in and out accurately
- Ensures equipment is returned clean and ready for next user
- Holds staff accountable for such
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) certificate, or at least six months custodial, janitorial, or porter experience.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions (both orally and written), product safety and warning labels.
Requires familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment required.
Good communication skills.
Computer applications skills.
Highly successful performance review.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to tobacco smoke, harsh chemicals, cleaning products, and changing environmental conditions.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
