Summary Of Responsibilities
- Determine compliance with Title V Permits and complete reporting.
- Interpret environmental regulations and determine impact to the facility and implement necessary compliance programs.
- Collaborate with operating areas to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Work with existing Air compliance and support personnel.
- Prepare appropriate internal and external reports and timely submit utilizing proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, as well as various internal computerized systems.
- Ensure systemic implementation of rigorous root cause analyses, corrective/preventive actions, and sharing of best practices to improve performance and reduce risks.
- Represent the facility during regulatory inspections, reply to agency inquiries, and collect and submit requested compliance information.
- Perform safety audits, hazard assessments, and safety interactions as required.
- Support plant operations periodically for weekend duty and emergency situations.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field or Environmental Science.
- Current working knowledge of State and Federal environmental Laws and regulations with a focus on Title V and Clean Air Act.
- Ability to work self-directed, prioritize work, and handle multiple projects.
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills.
- Adept at communication with regulatory agency personnel, site managers, corporate resources, legal counsel, and other interested stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced experience with Title V Permits, permitting and reporting.
- Possess a strong background in operational compliance, including an understanding of emission and pollutant sources, and pollution control technologies.
- Ability to actively interact with operations, maintenance, instrumentation, and engineering to assist in solving emission control problems including participation in the procurement processes for selecting pollution controls and/or services.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Project management and planning experience.
