Lead Enterprise Architect - Corporate Finance & Risk
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Architect to join a dynamic architecture team. The ideal candidate will partner closely with internal architecture teams, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to drive architecture outcomes across enterprise finance and risk initiatives. This role requires a hands-on, AI-fluent architect with deep architecture experience and strong domain expertise in Corporate Finance and Corporate Risk.
The successful candidate should be able to translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable architecture artefacts, solution designs, roadmaps, recommendations, and working prototypes. The client is specifically looking for candidates with experience across finance modernisation or transformation programs, including areas such as General Ledger, sub-ledger platforms, regulatory reporting, corporate risk, finance data flows, and enterprise finance architecture.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architecture teams, engineering leads, finance/risk stakeholders, product teams, and business partners to define and drive enterprise architecture strategies.
- Translate Corporate Finance and Corporate Risk business needs into scalable technical solutions and architecture artefacts.
- Create solution designs, reference architectures, architecture roadmaps, decision documents, and modernisation recommendations.
- Support finance modernisation and transformation programs involving General Ledger, sub-ledger platforms, regulatory reporting, financial controls, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Build working prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate architectural ideas and reduce delivery risk.
- Conduct rapid experimentation to explore innovative solutions, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled architecture approaches.
- Provide architecture guidance to cross-functional teams in fast-paced delivery environments.
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment on architectural decisions, standards, trade-offs, and transformation roadmaps.
- Identify technology risks, dependencies, integration challenges, data issues, and modernisation opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, AI technologies, cloud platforms, data architecture, finance platforms, regulatory reporting needs, and modern engineering practices.
- Support teams in applying architecture standards while balancing scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, compliance, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or similar senior architecture role.
- Strong domain experience in Corporate Finance and Corporate Risk.
- Experience with finance modernization/transformation programs involving General Ledger, sub-ledger platforms, regulatory reporting, financial data flows, or similar enterprise finance platforms.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience creating architecture documentation, roadmaps, solution designs, and decision frameworks.
- Ability to build prototypes or proofs-of-concept to validate architectural direction.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional engineering, finance, risk, and business teams in fast-paced environments.
