About the role
Advanced Manufacturing Technology is looking for a Lead Engineering Technician to be responsible for developing/deploying processes, automation, and capital equipment for Donaldson’s manufacturing plants. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Bloomington, MN facility.
Responsibilities
- Leading 6-S and safety programs for the AMT Lab
- Prototype product builds for different Business units
- The development of automated equipment
- Installation of equipment in Donaldson facilities across the globe
- Building of automated equipment
- Testing of equipment
- Building proof of concept machines in the lab
- Provide leadership and influence for cross-functional project teams
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to other less-experienced team members
- Uses advanced operational knowledge to identify and make changes to processes
- Work with plant personnel and Engineering teams to develop and build automated equipment
- Responsible for equipment builds & testing
- Responsible for troubleshooting equipment during installation and in plant support
- Serve as a multi skilled technician to produce prototype parts for business units
- Communicate effectively project status and progress to stakeholders and managers in written and verbal forms
Requirements
- 2 year Tech Degree
- 5+ years of progressive plant maintenance responsible for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and installation
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Machinist Experience
- Ability to machine or modify components for a machine build
- Ability to understand electrical and mechanical prints
- Ability to prioritize projects concurrently in a dynamic environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally – 15-20%
- Strong ability to communicate
Pay
Annual Salary Range: $69,440 - $95,480. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.
