Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product structures for the Gas Power portfolio.
- Translate technical requirements into logical features and marketing configurations that allow for flexible, scalable product offerings.
- Act as the technical point of contact for configuration changes.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Supply Chain, Application Eng, and OTR teams) to ensure changes are implemented with minimal disruption and maximum quality.
- Ensure that product enhancements are accurately reflected across the digital ecosystem (MBE, PLM, ERP, PASM).
- Perform impact assessments to identify how a change in one system affects the broader product definition.
- Actively participate in Lean initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks in the current configuration process and propose/implement technical solutions that streamline data management.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and specialists.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex configuration issues and ensure that standard work is followed across the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, or Product Lifecycle Management.
- 3+ years working knowledge of rotating equipment or complex mechanical systems.
- 3+ years experience with product structures (BOMs), logical feature modeling, and the impact of configuration changes on downstream systems (ERP/Supply Chain).
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and work across departmental boundaries.
- 1 year of proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use that data to drive process improvements.
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with modern PLM and ERP environments and how they interact within a manufacturing or engineering business.
- Understanding of supply chain requirements, including material planning and cut-in management.
- Excellent communication skills—capable of explaining technical configuration challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with continuous improvement/Lean methodologies.
- Self-motivated with a track record of successfully managing multiple workstreams concurrently.
Pay
The pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
