About the Role

General maintenance of hotel casino indoor and outdoor premises. Work with all departments on an as-needed basis. Coordinates Engineering activity in the absence of the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • In the absence of the Engineering Manager, receives and reviews all Engineering request forms to decide problem and resolution and delegates tasks.
  • Responsible for timely repairs, maintenance, installation of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, Cooling towers, and related piping.
  • Responsible for meters, gauges, and other testing equipment to assure accurate operation, detect and identify problems, and determine the appropriate repair path.
  • Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of repairs and PM reports.
  • Monitors and maintains the BMS (building management system) for accurate operation.
  • Works with outside vendors (pertaining specifically to the central plant and associated equipment) to assure repairs are carried out professionally and qualifiedly.
  • Performs departmental technical projects, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Performs refrigeration repairs.
  • Performs metal fabrication welding repairs.
  • Performs plumbing repairs.
  • Performs electrical repairs.
  • Performs kitchen equipment repairs.
  • Performs masonry repairs.
  • Performs carpentry repairs.
  • Provides excellent guest service to both guests and internal clients.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance Regulations, ACRM, and ACPS systems of internal controls, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 4 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Must be knowledgeable in current OSHA regulations and safe work environment practices.
  • Advanced demonstrable skills in one or more trades: electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience with general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Proven experience and knowledge using tools, standard appliances, and devices.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1½ miles and climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work in a “lighting subdued” environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Typically housed in an office environment; noise level is usually moderate but escalates in the casino environment.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
  • Sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
