About the Role
General maintenance of hotel casino indoor and outdoor premises. Work with all departments on an as-needed basis. Coordinates Engineering activity in the absence of the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of the Engineering Manager, receives and reviews all Engineering request forms to decide problem and resolution and delegates tasks.
- Responsible for timely repairs, maintenance, installation of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, Cooling towers, and related piping.
- Responsible for meters, gauges, and other testing equipment to assure accurate operation, detect and identify problems, and determine the appropriate repair path.
- Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of repairs and PM reports.
- Monitors and maintains the BMS (building management system) for accurate operation.
- Works with outside vendors (pertaining specifically to the central plant and associated equipment) to assure repairs are carried out professionally and qualifiedly.
- Performs departmental technical projects, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Performs refrigeration repairs.
- Performs metal fabrication welding repairs.
- Performs plumbing repairs.
- Performs electrical repairs.
- Performs kitchen equipment repairs.
- Performs masonry repairs.
- Performs carpentry repairs.
- Provides excellent guest service to both guests and internal clients.
- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance Regulations, ACRM, and ACPS systems of internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- 4 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Must be knowledgeable in current OSHA regulations and safe work environment practices.
- Advanced demonstrable skills in one or more trades: electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical systems.
- Proven experience with general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proven experience and knowledge using tools, standard appliances, and devices.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1½ miles and climbing stairs.
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
- Must be able to work in a “lighting subdued” environment for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Typically housed in an office environment; noise level is usually moderate but escalates in the casino environment.
- Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
