GE Aviation is seeking an Electrical Component Lead Engineer for our Controls Team. The Lead Engineer owns the design of multiple parts including electronic control, speed sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and vibration sensors, and works with a cross-functional design team communicating goals and progress in the development and certification of jet engines. The ideal candidate has experience in controls hardware and solves technical problems impacting short and long-term business goals.
Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
- Provide technical leadership on the assigned project
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
- Work with teams to address organizational initiatives
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
- At least 3 additional years of experience in an engineering position
- U.S. Citizenship (required to maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance)
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee) for access to U.S. export-controlled information
