Lead Engineer Electrical

About the role

Join the team behind iconic brands like Huggies®, Kleenex®, Cottonelle®, Scott®, Kotex®, Poise®, Depend®, and Kimberly-Clark Professional®. This role provides electrical engineering support to the Enterprise Capital Engineering team with two focus areas:

• Electrical Engineering Capital Project Leadership, primarily within KC North American facilities, with potential global support.
• Electrical Engineering Technology support for technology deployment across KC North American facilities, including capability building and oversight for internal teams and TSP provider teams.

The incumbent will provide electrical leadership and support for projects and technology deployment across manufacturing and converting processes for existing and planned product forms.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of KC manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives while collaborating with technicians, reliability team members, staff, and outside TSP vendors/contractors.
• Develop knowledge and skills in the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.
• Demonstrate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as a value through active leadership, positive influence, and risk identification to prevent loss and ensure compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and plant guidelines.
• Travel is expected (~20% annually), with frequency and location varying based on project assignments.

Project Electrical Engineering Leadership

• Provide electrical engineering leadership on multiple projects (product, process, expansion, or obsolescence improvements) from Engineering Design Review through Commercialization, with a focus on electrical systems.
• Oversee multiple projects and activities to ensure successful completion and desired outcomes.
• Provide onsite deployment support during project rollouts at manufacturing facilities, including hands-on machine interaction and safe machine entry (SOA/lockout/tagout).
• Offer hands-on electrical engineering leadership at manufacturing facilities during project deployment, including oversight of internal KC support teams and external TSP teams.

Electrical Engineering Technology Leadership

• Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions to eliminate root causes.
• Assist in the development of others within the incumbent's area of expertise.
• Provide on-call and/or on-site technology support at manufacturing facilities as needed.
• Work with EE Project Leads to support technology upgrades throughout all project phases, including on-site deployment if necessary.
• Actively participate in technology partnerships with R&D, Safety & EHS, and Digital IT/OT teams for cold call response, capability building of Value Stream Optimization Tech teams and TSP partners, and advancement of technology pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 3+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Analytical skills to collect and assess data to support technical recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead self or small teams to achieve intended results.
• Evidence of continuing self-development.
• Ability to work within a team-based environment.

Pay

Salary Range: $87,260 – $107,780 USD (for US locations only). This position is eligible for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including a 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan.
