About the Role

This position focuses on applying scientific and technical methods to validate concepts or demonstrate technical feasibility. The work typically aims to prove the performance and implementation potential of a concept through testing or analysis. The role influences departmental operations and involves planning and execution with a degree of autonomy, primarily within established functional practices and procedures. Some judgment is required, usually under guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in conceptual or theoretical activities related to engineering principles, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Analyze static (structural) and dynamic (rotordynamics, vibrations) behavior of mechanical systems.
  • Deepen expertise in a technical discipline.
  • Apply prior experience and technical knowledge to implement guidelines and strategies.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of key business drivers to guide individual work.
  • Understand how the team’s work integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader function.
  • Exercise judgment to propose solutions outside standard parameters, with guidance.
  • Solve simple tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training.
  • Apply technical skills and analytical thinking to problem-solving.
  • Leverage multiple internal sources outside the immediate team to inform decisions.
  • Serve as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or as emerging leadership talent capable of hiring and developing talent.
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Pay

For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
