Lead Engagement Manager, FDE - CMEG

About the role

The Lead Engagement Manager delivers measurable impact for Communications, Media, Entertainment, & Gaming (CMEG) customers as well as at the Business Unit (BU) or Regional team level in the Forward Deployed Engineering organization. You will own and independently scope multi-quarter, highly complex initiatives to solve problems with no clear precedent, operating with high autonomy in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive excellence at the BU/Region level, contributing to team-level booking targets and consumption goals.
• Navigate complex regional, regulatory, or market-specific complexities across multiple countries.
• Coach and support junior Engagement Managers, acting as a go-to resource for peers on complex projects.
• Shape account strategy to align with client goals and lead the sales of complex Professional Services & Training (PS&T) offerings.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with senior customer stakeholders across multiple engagements.
• Participate in the hiring process to attract top-tier talent.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience in Professional Services.
• Expert-level understanding of PS&T offerings and the ability to customize solutions for complex environments.
• Proficient thought leadership, increasingly viewed as an external expert in the industry.
• Expertise in Databricks architecture, ecosystem, and strategic account planning.
• Ability to travel up to 25-50% as required.

Pay

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role are listed below and represent the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.

• Zone 1 Pay Range: $178,800—$245,850 USD
• Zone 2 Pay Range: $161,000—$221,300 USD
• Zone 3 Pay Range: $152,000—$209,000 USD
• Zone 4 Pay Range: $143,000—$196,700 USD

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location.
