About the Role
The Energy Brand team at Nike Inc. drives cultural impact and pushes boundaries in sports through storytelling, strategic thinking, and brand building. The Planning and Operations team establishes the infrastructure, tools, and systems that enable smooth and precise execution from strategic kickoffs to consumer launches. We are seeking a Marketing Operations Lead to shape how Global Energy Marketing plans, builds, and delivers world-class collaborations, storytelling, and brand experiences. This role owns operating rhythms, budget discipline, tools, and reporting to ensure work stays on time, on scope, and on budget.
This is a highly influential individual-contributor role for a proactive, solutions-oriented operator who thrives in ambiguity, simplifies complexity, and drives accountability across matrixed teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead seasonal marketing milestones, kickoffs, cross-functional integrations, and decision-making forums to move work forward.
- Establish and maintain operating rhythms, communication cadences, and clear ways of working across teams.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve execution and operating processes to increase clarity, efficiency, and accountability.
- Produce and/or project manage critical projects while driving overall seasonal milestones.
- Partner with production to forecast resources and optimize the creative operating model.
- Optimize team workflows with emerging tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve speed, visibility, or quality.
- Manage creative vendors and cross-functional inputs to support high-quality marketing delivery.
- Plan, manage, and track the budget across projects and seasons, working closely with finance and marketing teams.
- Manage contracts, vendor set-up, statements of work (SoWs), and purchase orders.
- Partner with marketing leads to allocate, optimize, and calibrate the budget based on priorities and business needs.
- Support alignment between marketing plans, concept maps, product priorities, and team resourcing.
- Act as a thought partner to senior leaders of Global Brand and Ops & Planning, and collaborate with business integration and product teams.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities across the brand portfolio and proactively drive resolution.
- Translate complex inputs into clear plans, recommendations, and operating decisions.
- Enable teams to work more effectively by simplifying complexity and improving ways of working.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in marketing operations, project management, strategy, or related roles within a global, matrixed organization.
- Preferred experience working with or around creative partners and cultural collaborators.
- Proven ability to build and iterate marketing processes, operating models, and tools.
- Proactive, confident communicator who can influence without authority and operate effectively with senior leaders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving progress through change.
- Strong understanding of seasonal marketing workflows, go-to-market planning, and consumer-led brand strategy.
- Highly organized, systems-oriented thinker with strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives, plans, and recommendations.
- Proficiency with planning and collaboration tools (e.g., Airtable, Smartsheet, Box, Tableau, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

You’ll also engage with external partners, designers, artists, and cultural innovators who shape Nike’s presence in culture. While this role does not include direct people management, it operates with significant influence across teams and projects.
Schedule
This position is based at Nike’s worldwide headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, and follows a "4/1 hybrid" schedule: Mondays through Thursdays in the office, with Fridays optional to work from the campus or home office.
