Lead EMT

Position Summary

Under close/general supervision by licensed personnel the Emergency Department (ED) Technician/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care in the Rapid Care or emergency medical setting.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution program or CA Paramedic License
• Phlebotomy Certified
• Preferred but not required
• Paramedic licensed allows phlebotomy in their scope of practice
• Current BLS Card certification from the American Heart Association
• Maintain current Basic Life Support for HealthCare Workers
• Maintained compliance with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information
• Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional
• Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed
• Able to work effectively within role independently and with other team members
• Able to organize and complete work in a timely manner
• Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English
• Able to understand medical/surgical terminology
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
• Accurate and timely keyboarding skills, including word processing and data entry
• Proven ability to organize time and tasks
• Proven ability to work within multiple departments, receiving direction from multiple sources
• Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relationships

Pay / Benefits

Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
