Duties Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Readiness and Response, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. This announcement will close at 11:59 PM, on the day that 50 applications have been received or on the closing date, whichever is first.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

    • Leading and/or supporting Incident Management System (IMS) leadership and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) exercises, activations, and/or all-hazards emergency public health responses;
    • Monitoring, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or reporting operational information to support situational awareness and decision-making, and coordinating with internal and/or external stakeholders;
    • Leading and/or facilitating Emergency Operations Center (EOC) response operations, including activation activities, operational coordination, and management of taskings and/or response actions;
    • Contributing to and/or leading the development, evaluation, and/or improvement of emergency management plans, procedures, and/or programs, and applying sound judgment to assess complex and/or evolving situations.
